Sometimes called "The Networking Rabbi" for his community outreach within the Scottsdale Networking world, the Spiritual Leader of Kehillat Emek haMidbar in Scottsdale is available for all life cycle events, including weddings, hospital visitation, hospice care and end-of-life counselling and services.

Rabbi Abrams writes about his experiences and views on many (mostly Judaic) subjects in his column, "Normal is Overrated", which is published each Thursday evening and e-mailed to over 7,000 subscribers.

Congregation Emek haMidbar is looking forward to moving into our new home!

Kehillat Emek haMidbar, is a new and vibrant Observant Traditional Synagogue in Scottsdale, Arizona, that is some what untraditional.

We offer both separate mens and womens seating for those who are more comfortable davening in the presence of a Mechitza, and mixed seating for families who enjoy davening together.

Our Synagogue is dedicated to providing a positive and comfortable atmosphere for everyone, regardless of previous affiliation or financial status.  We charge no membership fees, and our Shul is operated solely on voluntary donations.

Our focus is on Inclusionary Judaism while keeping with tradition and Halakha (Jewish Law).
